We’re getting closer and closer to a night that will change lives — and we owe a heartfelt thank-you to Granite Insurance for their incredible support in building this event from the ground up. 💙

On March 13th, we’ll come together for an evening of entertainment and purpose as we work toward Safe Harbor’s mission of building transitional homes that empower women on their path to life restoration in Christ.

Katherine entered the Whole Woman program carrying deep brokenness—but she also carried something powerful: a mother’s steadfast love.

Katherine's mom never enabled her addiction, but she never stopped loving her. She sent a few dollars for snacks in the prison canteen. She prayed. She believed. She held onto hope for the day Katherine would walk in freedom.

It was even her mom who reminded her of Safe Harbor—memories tied all the way back to their thrifting days at ReSource Warehouse.

Today, Katherine has completed our one-year residential recovery program and moved into one of our transitional apartments. When we asked what she’s looking forward to most, her answer was breathtaking:

“I want to work, save for a house, and create a place where I can take care of my mom.”

After years of her mother praying, sacrificing, and loving her through the darkest moments, Katherine is dreaming of the day she can return that care.

This is redemption.
This is generational faithfulness.
This is what God can restore.

And we can’t wait to see all He builds in this next season—not just a home, but a renewed legacy.

In honor of Black History Month, Safe Harbor honors the life and legacy of Shirley Chisholm—the first Black woman elected to Congress and a fearless advocate for social equity. Her work to combat poverty and improve housing conditions continues to inspire us today.

At Safe Harbor, we carry that same heart by helping women and children find safe, stable housing and a fresh start. Her courage reminds us that access to security, dignity, and opportunity is worth fighting for—every single day.
