Excellent source of Vitamin K and B1

Why eat it?

Digestive Health- Asparagus contains a type of fiber called fructooligosaccharides
(FOS), which aids in digestion by selectively encouraging the growth of friendly bacteria in your gut.

Blood Health- Vitamin K and folate (B1), which are both found in generous amounts in asparagus, are needed for the manufacture of red blood cells and for blood clotting. Folate is also an important nutrient for women in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy because it helps protect babies from neural tube defects such as spina bifida.

Bone Health- The Vitamin K present in asparagus also helps bones absorb calcium; studies show that women with high levels of Vitamin K in their blood may be less likely to develop osteoporosis.

Movement is Medicine…Get Outside

Shoes protect us from several potential injuries when walking outside or on dangerous terrain but not every shoe is meant for every foot. Not wearing shoes constantly can give relief from improperly fitting shoes, which may cause bunions, hammertoes, or other foot deformities.

Going barefoot in safe environments or in the home can help provide a number of health benefits. Walking barefoot more closely restores our
*natural' walking pattern, also known as our gait. It gives you better control of your foot position when it strikes the ground and improves balance, proprioception, body awareness, and helps stabilize foot mechanics.

Better foot mechanics can lead to improved mechanics of the hips, knees, and core which can help with pain relief. Most of all, going barefoot can help in grounding and bringing a sense of balance within ourselves as we reconnect and feel the earth beneath and can help with symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Aliments of Aging…Menopause

Menopause marks the end of a woman's menstruation cycle-a natural, biological process typically beginning around age 50 although some women lose their period as early as age 45.

Many women experience night sweats, trouble sleeping, mood swings, chills, anxiety, hot flashes, etc. Declining levels of estrogen also put women at a higher risk for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, muscle loss, and occasional urinary incontinence.

Chiropractic care can help with the symptoms and issues during menopause. The nervous system helps with hormonal regulation- something that menopausal women are actively struggling with as estrogen and progesterone drop.

Chiropractic adjustments help to realign the body, allowing the nervous system to restore normal function. Additionally, chiropractic adjustments can also help lower cortisol, the stress hormone, that can act as a trigger for many menopause symptoms when left untreated.

A healthy approach to diet and exercise is a good start to alleviating the symptoms of menopause and along with chiropractic you will be able to break free of the struggles caused by menopause.

I am in literal TEARS 😭 The immense love and support I feel in this church is beyond anything I have ever been a part of. There are no words to best describe how this weekend felt. All I know is that I am so grateful I found Authentic Church. I’m so grateful to finally feel loved and accepted by so many beautiful people.

Everyone in these photos mean soooooo much to me! So much that i could not capture everyone. I am so thankful for the memories and the opportunities to have developed some new friendships and bonds with my favorite people and some new favorite people!

There has been an awakening and I experienced it first hand today. What was buried deep down was brought to surface and when you feel Gods love swelling inside, the body can’t contain itself.

Thank you to EVERYONE that in some way gave their all to make this conference a success and all the glory to God for doing what He does BEST, changing hearts, minds and saving souls.

God gave me a HUGE heart for people and that’s what I love to do, to meet and LOVE on others and I have been so blessed to be a part of this church.
The church is never a building, it is the people inside that building and if we all come together and with God on our side, NOTHING is impossible!

Cannot wait until next year!

Movement Is Medicine…Take A Walk

Walking is the most popular aerobic physical activity. Walking can help improve health even without weight loss.

People who are physically active live longer and have a lower risk for heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, depression, and some cancers. The problem is, only 48% of all adults get the recommended amount of physical activities to improve their health.

That means that 52% of ALL adults do not! Adults need at least 2 and 1/2 hours (150 minutes) a week of aerobic physical activity. This should be at a moderate level, such as a fast-paced walk for no less than 10 minutes at a time.

Walking 6,000 steps a day will help improve your health and walking 10,000 will help you lose weight. Walking increases blood flow to the brain and improves your mood. Walking for 10 miles every week would eliminate 500 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions a year.

Don't wait until something happens, be proactive about your health today!

Many of us think just because we aren't having symptoms, that we are healthy. This isn't always the case as many early symptoms as often unnoticed and labeled normal.

Aliments of Aging…Arthritis

Arthritis has many names and forms and it is a common term used by many doctors as a coverall diagnosis. There are two types of arthritis; degenerative and inflammatory.

Osteoarthritis is the most common kind of arthritis and a main cause of joint pain. It happens when the cartilage that, cushions your joints, degenerates/wears down and the bone rubs against bone, causing pain and swelling.

Chiropractic adjustments may be able to address the cause of osteoarthritis. A joint may be damaged over time because it's out of alignment, or because of the way you sit, stand, or walk.

Chiropractic care can fix those issues, which may keep your arthritis from getting worse. Chiropractors can't restore cartilage that's already lost but can keep the joint moving to prevent further degeneration.
