CVCC students are leaving notes for sexual assault survivors today at the Spring Fling! Come by and see us!
October is #DomesticViolenceAwareness month. Check out this story shared by a survivor in Catawba County that used the various services available at Family Guidance Center. There is power behind sharing your journey to inspire others to take that first step.
💜If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, please call or text our 24-hour support line at 828-228-1787 for help.💜

Melissa Hall is our Domestic Violence Case Manager at FGC. She has decided to share her survivor story to help inspire those that might need it. When this friendly face is able to relate to what you might be going through, it makes taking that first step easier. Melissa is responsible for many of the displays you might see around FGC and has been a wonderful addition to the staff at FGC. We are so lucky to have her expertise and passion.
Thanks to everyone who made #PuttingForACause a success!! Congrats to our winners who tied, Teams Lenoir-Rhyne University and Cosmo Motors ad-hoc team!

HARD TRUTH: Valentine's Day is a difficult holiday for many survivors to get through. Abusers and harm-doers often use love as the reason why they do what they do, which can leave their victims feeling confused about what love actually looks like. You are not alone.
If you are feeling off today, please reach out. We have advocates on call 24/7 ready to listen. Call or text any of the numbers below to be connected with someone locally.
