A Little Extra Care Makes a Big Difference💙

When a 6-year-old patient needed a hand and finger cast, Jennifer Hawley, ATC, an athletic trainer with Dr. Reid Russell, DO, at FryeCare Orthopedics & Neurosurgery, found a creative way to calm those first-visit jitters.

Before starting the procedure, Jennifer and Dr. Russell applied a tiny cast to the child’s favorite stuffed animal. This thoughtful gesture turned an anxious moment into one filled with smiles and curiosity.

The patient’s mother shared how grateful she was for the team’s patience and attentiveness—answering every question and never rushing the process.
