Ultrasound Guided Viscosupplementation
A procedure that involves injecting a thick fluid/gel, (hyaluronate) into a knee affected with osteoarthritis. This medication helps lubricate the bones, so they move smoothly over one another. Viscosupplementation is given as a series of 3 different injections scheduled 1 week apart.
