After losing hearing in one ear and experiencing significant vision loss due to a stroke and retinal detachments, Shannon faced daily challenges many take for granted. She was unable to drive, watch television, or read with her grandchildren—often making up the stories instead.

With the precise work of our scleral lens team, Shannon now sees 20/20.

Today, she is back to driving, reading, coloring, and enjoying life with her grandchildren. Shannon shared, “I can’t even begin to tell you what I can see and about the exceptional care that was provided to me.”

Seeing her joy reminds us why we do what we do. We are honored to be part of her journey back to vision.
