Veterans' employment needs are deeply connected to mental health, housing, and benefits. That’s why DMH/DD/SUS, in partnership with the Governor's Institute and the Triangle Business Journal, is dedicated to supporting Service Members, Veterans, and Families
(SMVF) as they transition to civilian life and workplace integration.

Did you know? North Carolina veterans aged 18–34 face an unemployment rate of 5.7%. Many veterans are actively seeking work, and stories of that journey are common.
