Measles is a highly contagious disease which spreads through the air even up to 2 hours after an infected person leaves the space. Cases have been identified in surrounding areas. The majority of cases have been in individuals who are unvaccinated.

Symptoms typically appear 7-21 days AFTER exposure and may include:

High fever
Cough
Runny nose
Red, watery eyes
A spreading rash

The BEST protection is the MMR vaccine. It not only protects your child, but also infants and others in our community who are more vulnerable.
