Today, we celebrate the incredible individuals who have paved the way for generations to come. At vancrest of Hicksville, we are honored every day to care for and learn from the amazing seniors who call our long-term care, rehab, and assisted-living facility home.

Their stories, wisdom, strength, and resilience inspire us daily. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to do the work we love — and for that, we are endlessly grateful.

We had a wonderful day at the Defiance County Fair for the annual Senior Day! 🎉 It was such a pleasure meeting so many amazing people and sharing valuable information and resources with them.

At 98 years young, Verna was born and raised in Edgerton and has spent her entire life in the area. She came to us from a nursing home in hopes of enjoying a bit more independence—and we’re so happy she did!

Verna already enjoys visiting with fellow residents, staff, and guests. Her warmth and wisdom brighten every room she’s in. 🥰
