Some incredible shots of Brian, a bilateral below-knee amputee, taking on the Leadville 100 for the third time! 🏔 For 22 hours, the Colorado mountains pushed him through breathtaking highs and lows—but with each year at Leadville, Brian learns more, digs deeper, and pushes farther. His determination and relentless training are proof that he’s not done yet, and every step brings him closer to conquering this race. We couldn’t be prouder to witness his journey and share his determination with our community. 🦿🔥

Maya first came to our facility in 2012 after losing her leg to osteosarcoma. Since then, she’s been unstoppable, relentlessly competing in gymnastics and other sports! Thanks to our partnership with the Who Says I Can’t Foundation and their incredible founder (and A Step Ahead Patient!) Jothy, Maya just received her first high-activity rotationplasty running blade prosthesis—a real “dream come true,” as she described it.🦿

With her new blade, Maya feels like she can reach new heights, and she’s already putting it to the test!
