Happy New Year from Bravo Occupational Therapy!

As we dive into 2025, many of us are setting new goals and resolutions. As occupational therapists, we know that achieving our goals is not just about motivation, but also about creating sustainable habits and strategies.

Here are some OT-approved tips to help you meet your goals:

Break down big goals into smaller, manageable tasks
Create an environment that supports your goals (e.g., declutter your space, set up a home gym)
Use visual reminders and schedules to stay on track
Celebrate small wins along the way
Practice self-compassion and flexibility when faced with setbacks

As someone who works with stroke patients daily… I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to be aware of not just the signs but the causes to prevent it from happening and the treatments for when it occurs. After a stroke, starting your rehab journey is so important to start ASAP. It can prevent reduce further damage and enhance better recovery. Occupational Therapy plays a huge roll in stroke recovery.
