SC H**p Legal Update: Last week one of our founders attended multiple hearings on HB3924 at the statehouse in Columbia. The bill, which is now headed into conference committee, seeks to heavily regulate or ban h**p in South Carolina.
The proposed regulations would ban on premise sales of h**p drinks at bars/restaurants, limit retail sales of drinks to behind the counter only, and place the vast majority of h**p products into liquor stores only.
This bill is bad for our farmers. This bill is bad for many businesses you know and love. Most of all, it’s bad for you.
If you live in South Carolina and enjoy reasonable access h**p in any form, now is the time to make your voice heard!
We are asking all of our SC friends to hand write a letter to Governor Henry McMaster. Please be respectful and ask that he vetoes any version of HB3924 coming out of committee that would ban h**p or place the majority of h**p products into liquor stores only.
