Located on a working horse ranch in central Texas, Touchstone Ranch Recovery Center is a residential treatment center for those who suffer from alcoholism and/or drug addiction. Using Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and a spiritual interpretation of the 12 steps our clients are given the opportunity to build a foundation for recovery and a new life in sobriety, one day at a time.

Touchstone Ranch Recovery Center is located in hill country of North Central Texas on a cutting horse ranch. This environment allows Residents the opportunity to recover from chemical dependency but also experience the serenity of a ranch setting. Residents will participate in equine therapy; incorporating horses for growth and learning is an experiential therapy model; participants learn about themselves and others through activities with the horses, allowing them to recognize and process (or discuss) thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, and patterns. The spiritual atmosphere helps residents to identify how a Higher Power can influence their lives. Residents receive thorough education on the disease of chemical dependency, relapse and recovery, and the importance of working the 12 steps of A.A.
