Text convo with one of our sweet moms who had to change her birth plans. We could not be with her in person because of distance, but we still got to be there for her as she labored and birthed her baby. For me, the heart of a midwife is to teach, encourage, love, support, build up and guide (plus so so much more 😉)those who choose us for their care. Life happens- birth can be unpredictable at times... we never stop being there even if we can be there physically.

All babies are beautiful... even rat babies lol. This lil guy/gal was single pup born out of love (yes, a planned pregnancy 🤣)and its momma is doing such a good job nursing and protecting 🥰
