As we come to the end of this year, we want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has supported our nursing home and, most importantly, our residents. Your kindness, generosity, and continued encouragement mean more than words can express. Because of you—our families, staff, volunteers, community members, schools, organizations, and local supporters—our residents experienced love, compassion, laughter, and connection throughout the year. Whether it was a visit, a donation, a kind word, or simply showing up, every act of support made a difference. You help create a place that feels like home, where our residents are valued, cared for, and never forgotten. We are truly grateful for each and every one of you who stands beside us and our residents year after year. As we look ahead to the new year, we do so with thankful hearts and appreciation for the amazing community that surrounds us. 💙 From all of us here at Hico Nursing and Rehab, thank you for being part of our family and for making this year so special.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our incredible community for taking every angel off the trees and showering our residents with so many thoughtful gifts, love, and compassion. Your generosity filled our home with joy and reminded our residents just how deeply they are cared for.

A special thank you to the students of HICO FFA for building the beautiful planters and wreaths, your hard work, creativity, and kindness truly brightened our nursing home and hearts, and the Lion's Club for funding such an amazing gift.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the American Legion for the meaningful gifts provided to our veterans. Your continued support and dedication mean more than words can express to those who have served our country. And to Farm and Ranch for their generosity to our residents.

Because of each of you, this season was made extra special. Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and for making such a lasting difference in the lives of our residents.

And a special thank you to all of our families and staff that brought sides and desserts. Thank you to Wings Over Texas Hospice for desserts and assistance with serving our residents and families.

Today a few of our veteran residents were honored at the Hico High school. We want to thank the school for having them. Today we pause to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to our nation have safeguarded the freedoms and values we hold dear.

At Hico Nursing and Rehab. we are deeply honored to have veterans among our residents, and community. We recognize not only their service in times of conflict but also the strength, dignity, and leadership they continue to show in everyday life.

On this Veterans Day, and every day, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who have worn the uniform of our country. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Thank you for your service, your courage, and your enduring example of patriotism.

Wednesday we had our annual fall festival! Hot dogs, good friends, an amazing community, and some games makes for a good time! We'd like to thank everyone who donated their time and goodies to help us make this possible! Wings Over Texas Hospice made the got dogs! Hico Popcorn Works made popcorn! Pathway Internet made us some cotton candy! Thank you to Lowe's Grocery Store for donating waters, Hico Building Center for letting us use one of their water troughs, and the Hico Community Center and the Hico Volunteer Fire Department for letting us borrow their tables and chairs! And thank you to everyone who donated the goodies for the cake walk! We had such a great time! Can't wait to see everyone at our next event!
