For obvious reasons (twin boys and a daughter), I connect with this family. I truly wish I had the tool of meditation when I was raising three young children. I applaud them for taking the steps to connect with each other and learn a beautiful way to approach what life throws at them.

Meditate with me? I will be back next week. I’ve been away for 6 weeks. I have continued my meditation practice everyday in every country we’ve traveled to. It’s helped with the stress of being far away from family and friends (and our girl Mishka). It’s calmed my nerves during 12+ flights and numerous different accommodation changes. It’s helped keep me present during every amazing memory making moment of this adventure. And it’s most definitely kept me find stillness and silence when conversation about current events at home have found their way into every conversation. Meditate with me…

I know I post a lot of soup pics and here’s another one. They are meant to inspire you to step away from that can or that jar and concoct one of your own. It’s easy…I promise. This is warming us up tonight for football (hubby) and the Golden Globes (ya, that’s my jam). Butternut squash, heaps of ginger, chunks of chicken, homemade sourdough croutons and some chives for garnish. We are warmed up, well fed and ready to be entertained. And we didn’t need to leave the house on this chilly night for any of it!

We kind of have a thing in this house…I don’t cook on Fridays nights . There are usually enough leftovers to do a “clean out the fridge” meal. Not this week. We were out more than we were in and there wasn’t a morsel of food that needed to be used up. I really enjoyed putting this harissa salmon Buddha bowl together. Just enough heat, the right amount of crunch, plenty of protein, colour, fibre, and good fats (because of the salmon and yummy tahini dressing). A delicious power packed Friday night dinner.

Feeding the Thanksgiving houseguests the only way I know how…using up the leftovers. Took the gf cornbread and made it into little French toast bites. They taste just like the johnny cakes we had in Ireland. Paired them with bacon cheese egg bites using the fontina cheese left over from the mushroom squash danish and the fridge is already a bit emptier. Breakfast done and dusted!

A very proud moment. You can now find me on the app. I was honoured to be asked to lead a meditation for those about to receive their chemotherapy treatment. Something I know about all too well. But honestly, aside from the word chemotherapy, this meditation could be used for anyone dealing with health issues that wants stay positive, feel stronger and hopefully more at peace. Join me and please share.
