Ever notice how convincing anxiety can be?
It doesn’t just show up as worry.
It shows up as thoughts that feel urgent, convincing, and hard to ignore. 😅
Thoughts like:
“What if something bad happens if I relax?”
“Everyone noticed that awkward thing I said.”
“I’m so behind compared to everyone else.”
When anxiety is loud, it can make these thoughts feel like facts instead of what they actually are — anxious predictions and self-critical narratives.
But the truth is, thoughts aren’t always reliable messengers.
Learning to notice anxious thinking patterns and gently question them can help create space between you and the spiral. Over time, this can help your nervous system feel safer and more grounded.🫶🏼
If any of these slides made you think, “Wow… that’s exactly how my brain works,” you’re not alone. Many people experience these patterns, especially when they’ve been under prolonged stress or pressure.
Save this post for the next time anxiety tries to convince you of something that isn’t entirely true.
