New Hours of Availability Starting August 18th, 2025!!

Yes, babies eat outside of the hours of 8-5pm! Ha. BOOKED!

Transitions, new beginnings, new ideas, new opportunities, new new new…everything new! Get ready for a great late Summer/Early fall. I am looking forward to some great things for all of my families in the Wild! It means a lot to serve you! Truly, an honor!

What does this mean? If you need me to accompany you to any oral tie revisions, appointments, need a home visit, need a virtual; please aim to do so within the hours of availability! I will be opening up the calendar for a FEW slots on Sundays and maybe a longer Saturday 1x a month, but in this next phase of life; I am prioritizing my wellbeing!

What milk-making myths have you heard of? Drop any below!

What I enjoy most about being a lactation consultant is getting to know my families, their goals and how I can help them prevent and/or overcome feeding challenges. No one way works for all! Get you a lactation consultant who tailors their feeding plan to meet YOUR needs. Use of evidence-based practices and a whole lot of love and patience is what’s granted over here!

✨MILK MONDAY✨

Let’s talk hunger cues. Please vote: this is not ALL of the cues that can be present, in case someone needs to know. This episode of Dear Lactation Consultant is a brief reminder to watch for cues, watch for signs of satiety and how to identify “emptiness” within your breasts.

Not every baby will eat from both sides every single feed. Not every feeding will last or be completed at 15 minutes! Do not “ time” your baby. Allow your little one to show cues, feed your baby and then watch for those signs of satiety. You’ve got this.

⚪️Hunger cues
From best to worst:
*rooting
*sucking on hands or anything nearby
*licking lips, smacking sounds
*hand in mouth
*fidgeting, squirming
*fussing, frantic
*crying

⚪️Signs of satiety
*loose, opened hands
*minimal to no tension in arms
*milk in mouth or on tongue
*baby is asleep
*rooting ceases
*may appear in quiet alert state
& more!

Learning to feed and boost confident and self-efficacy with feeding is a goal we strive to help you achieve. Breastfeeding isn’t easy, but you both (or all if multiples) CAN do it!!

✨HAPPY 3rd “Birthday” Wildflower✨

Wow, to say I’ve made it here is an understatement! That year 2 about took me OUT! Haha. I’m grateful for all of the families I’ve been able to serve and love over the past few years! You all are SO worth every mile and every minute spent! I’m also grateful for all of my colleagues, business friends, supporters, my family and my best friend for being here for me through all of the business ins and outs! I’m just getting started! I want to take this time to honor God! I cannot and will not continue to operate Wildflower Lactation & Postpartum Care without Him! He’s the real reason I’m able to have any of this! Thank you Lord!! Now, let’s CELEBRATE!
