Robin “Bountourabi” Leftwich will be teaching djembe at Oak Grove Rhythm Retreat (hosted by One Tribe). She has been a student of West African art and culture for 30+ years. Her three trips to Guinea, West Africa have given her a unique and authentic perspective of the role of the djembe in African ceremonies, celebrations, and everyday life. “Bountou” joyfully shares her skills with drummers of all experience levels. She’s also a drum builder, so bring your questions about drum care and tuning.
