There are several reasons, however, it started with taking the FPU or Financial Peace University class created by Dave Ramsey. Our goal is to become debt free and manage our expenses based on what we earn not on credit. Yes, I know that’s quite personal however that’s one of the primary reasons for starting this business. Within this goal we wish to continue to spend time with our family. Earning extra income by taking 2nd jobs just didn’t seem feasible. We wanted something that wasn’t just for Jody and I but with the kiddos included too. That lead us to something we could do from home and involve everyone. Isaiah found some interesting information online that sparked our interest. People were making all kinds of things for their home from recycled materials. With quite a few more dinner discussions HYG Creations evolved. Isaiah loves wood working which we account to wonderful hours spent with Grandpa Yennie in the workshop. Jody is quite handy himself. As for as me, well I love to recreate things and adore painting. Our little guy, Matthew, will fit into all of this just peachy. His curiosity will ensure that his hand is in quite a few of our creations. Delaney, I’m sure will put a teenage girl flair on things that will simply amaze all. Andrew is currently away serving our country in the Marine Corp but will have opportunities to lend a hand when he is home visiting. Of course we will always welcome his creative perspective from a distance. I’m not to leave out the fact that we are donating 10% of sales (not profit) to families with children in the ICU or PICU for an extended period at Brenner Children’s Hospital. This is near and dear to our heart as our own little guy, Matthew, has spent quite a bit of time there. Having experienced the financial burden while caring for a sick child we know first-hand that a monetary gift of any kind just puts a smile on your face and warmth in your heart. And frankly, we knew that we wouldn’t start a business without a giving plan. Above all, we thank God for giving us this opportunity and it is our intention to stay Christ focused in our business as well as our everyday lives. Thank you for taking time to visit our page and for reading this quite lengthy purpose statement. Sincerely,
HYG Creations
