We are honored to be an official NC HOSA Conference partner! We enjoyed meeting so many inspiring student health professionals who truly make the future seem bright. We were also able to introduce Pennybyrn and Retirement Living to their consideration of prospective employment and volunteer opportunities. We couldn’t have imagined such an incredible turn out with over 5,000 students in attendance!

Shamrockin’ A Party for Pennybyrn 2026 – what a night! 🍀

From the amazing Keith Byrd on the Keys, to the high-energy Celtic Rock performance by Seven Nations, to the amazing food, fellowship, and spirit of generosity, it was truly an unforgettable evening.

Thanks to our incredible community of support, nearly $150,000 was raised for our Resident Care Fund—helping offset the cost of care and strengthening our ability to serve residents in our Healthcare Center (skilled nursing) with compassion and excellence.

We are especially grateful to our Presenting Sponsor, Annette Benson, for her leadership and generosity, and to all our sponsors, donors, and contributors who made this event such a success.

We are beyond grateful to be part of a community that shows up in such a big way for our residents!

Thank you, Lisa Geraci, and the Catholic News Herald for the shout out on our 58th St. Patrick’s Tea!

The 58th St. Patrick’s Tea was as fun and festive as ever! 🍀

This cherished annual tradition gave us the opportunity to celebrate St. Patrick (a wee bit early!) while showing our appreciation for the wonderful residents, donors, volunteers, and friends who are such an important part of the Pennybyrn community.

This year was especially meaningful as we welcomed Sr. Lucy and Sr. Gabriella back from Ireland to join in the celebration. Their presence made the afternoon even more special!

A heartfelt thanks to our Lead Soonsor of the Tea, Annette Benson, and to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. Your support and friendship mean so much to all of us at Pennybyrn. 💚

This Christmas season, the family of Jean Grondy—her children, in-laws, grandchildren, and great-grandchild—chose a beautiful way to honor her memory. Rather than exchanging gifts among themselves, they “adopted” four of our Healthcare residents, fulfilling each residents’ Christmas wish list.

Jean once called our Healthcare Center home, and through this thoughtful act, her spirit of love and generosity continues to live on. Because of her family’s kindness, four residents will experience the joy of feeling seen, remembered, and deeply cared for this Christmas.

We are incredibly grateful to the Grondy family for turning remembrance into action and making the season brighter for those who needed it most. This is what love looks like—and what the true spirit of Christmas is all about. ❤️🎄

We are thrilled to share that Ken and Sally Hughes were honored as Outstanding Philanthropists for High Point at Monday’s National Philanthropy Day Luncheon, hosted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Triad Chapter.

We were also proud to recognize Mary and, the late, Pete Mahler, as Pennybyrn’s Spirit of Philanthropy honorees.

We are so grateful for these generous families—their loyal support strengthens our mission and makes a lasting difference for our residents and community.

Pennybyrn is so blessed. Our team generously gave donations and service to families in need this Thanksgiving. We were able to donate an abundance of food, including whole turkeys and hams for a full Thanksgiving meal. We are overflowing with gratitude for the generosity and dedication our team has in honoring the mission of Pennybyrn “To give God‘s love to the lives we touch”.

A very special thank you to our Ambassador Team for supporting and putting in the work to carry out this amazing endeavor!
