🩸 Blood Drive Update 🩸

The blood drive originally scheduled for today at MedCenter High Point from 2:00 PM–5:00 PM has been relocated to MedCenter Kernersville and will now take place today from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

We appreciate your patience as OneBlood worked through a last-minute staffing issue. Thank you to everyone who planned to participate, and we hope you’re still able to stop by and donate.

🌟 Employee Spotlight 🌟

Meet Joanna, a Summerfield native who has dedicated twenty five years to Cone Health. She graduated from Northwest Guilford High School and studied Social Work and Psychology at WCU and UNCG before earning her master’s degree in social work from ECU.

Joanna has built an incredible career around her talent for connecting with people. She began in inpatient oncology, hematology, and palliative care, where she served for six years. She later moved to outpatient oncology at the Cancer Center and, as the only social worker at the time, helped shape the foundation of that program. Her journey continued through THN Care Management, now VBCI Population Health, before stepping into the Physician Liaison role in March 2025.

Outside of work, Joanna loves time with her family. She enjoys hiking, trail walking, biking, photography, and taking weekend trips with her girlfriends.
