🍂✨ We’re gearing up to kick off the High Point Guild’s fall season—and we want to share some feel goods with you this Friday!

💥 Did you know? Last year, the Guild raised more than $235,000 to support families in crisis right here in our community! Every dollar helps provide vital services like shelter, counseling, and advocacy through Family Service of the Piedmont.

This incredible achievement wouldn’t have been possible without passionate volunteers, generous donors, and YOU—our amazing supporters. Together, we’re making a real difference, restoring hope and building brighter futures.

Here’s a shoutout to last year’s Guild president, Wendy, alongside Heather from Family Service of the Piedmont, whose leadership and dedication inspired us all.

Stay tuned for exciting events and opportunities this fall! Let’s keep the momentum going. 💙

These much needed funds were raised through the FORE! Families Golf Tournament, the inaugural holiday luncheon, and the 31st Annual High Point Oyster Roast.

Thank you to everyone who donated their time, talents, and money to make it possible!

Monica’s life took an unexpected turn when she gave birth to triplets prematurely. With her husband and extended family overseas, she faced the challenges of new motherhood largely alone, relying on support from peers and professors in her PhD program. Monica struggled to balance her academic commitments with caring for three newborns.

Enter the Healthy Start Program—a lifeline that transformed Monica’s journey from overwhelming to manageable. As she brought her triplets home, the program’s team began making weekly visits that quickly became a vital source of support. These visits went beyond providing essential items like diapers, wipes, and clothes; they offered moments of comfort and connection that Monica and her children came to treasure. Story time, where caseworkers would sit down to read 1-2 books with the children, became a simple yet impactful part of their early development.

Reflecting on her journey, Monica shared, “Healthy Start didn’t just provide material assistance; it gave me a sense of community and the confidence to thrive as a mother and a student. I am profoundly grateful for this program’s impact on my family’s life.”

Today, Monica’s triplets are now toddlers, thriving just as she is. Thanks to the support of Healthy Start, Monica emerged stronger, with a degree in hand and a bright future ahead.

Thank you to everyone who donated money or baby items for our annual Healthy Start Baby Shower Guild Meeting. We are overwhelmed with your generosity as we continue to receive donations in the mail. We learned so much at our March meeting, hearing from Healthy Start staff member, Grace Wall Pinto, about how education and in-home assistance can build safer, healthier families and help prevent child neglect and abuse in our community.
