We are always grateful for Carl and Connie from Words of Life Church and their dedication to sharing the gospel in our community. Connie’s voice is truly a gift, and Carl’s passion for preaching shows he’s walking faithfully in his calling. It’s also a blessing to have their church family join them at Brookdale S***t Club and contribute in any way they can. Our residents always enjoy their presence and the hope, joy, and encouragement they bring.

Every morning, without fail, Mr. Art steps outside his apartment for his exercises. It’s more than routine—it’s a point of pride. He keeps those legs moving, knowing they’ve carried him through a lifetime and deserve the care. As he walks, he greets the day like an old friend, breathing in the fresh air, listening to the birds, and letting the trees and flowers reminding him why staying active is worth every step.

Getting together with Erin to make mesh wreaths for the residents’ apartments was such a crafty success! Cindy and Janie—our DIY dream team—invited Kanani to join in on the fun, and the creativity took off from there. The room was full of laughter, tangled ribbons, and trial-and-error masterpieces. We quickly learned just how knotty this craft can be—but every moment spent creating together was totally worth it!

The Men’s Lunch Bunch had a fantastic time gathering at IHOP for a delicious meal and even better company. It was a treat to connect with our sister community, Brookdale High Point North — there were lots of laughs, full plates, and great conversations all around. Our crew got together for a Happy Hour that hit all the right notes—Root beer, Cheerwine, and Coca-Cola floats were on deck, and the vibes were just as sweet. What an incredible time we had at our Friends For Life: Luau Summer Dance!

From nonstop dancing to contagious laughter and delicious desserts, the night was full of energy and joy. It was a workout in the best way—and worth every step on the dance floor.
