SPOTLIGHTING Funeral Director, Tommy Southern, who joined us in 2015. Tommy received his diploma (honors) in funeral service in 1990 from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, and in 1995 received his Bachelor of Arts degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Religion from Southern Wesleyan University, Central, SC. He received his North Carolina Funeral Service license in 1990 and became a certified crematory operator in 2016. Tommy attends Hayworth Wesleyan Church and his hobbies include stamp collecting, reading and visiting presidential gravesites. He has three children – Caleb, Abbey and Josiah, and currently lives in Archdale with his dachshund, Isabel.
