With the recent outbreak of COVID-19, concerns and questions have generated in regards to CPR trainings. Our main concern is the health and safety of both our students and instructors. With NC now having cases and the number growing we have additional precautions that are required to attend our class and while class is in session until further notice.
-If you or someone you have had close contact with has a fever or is showing any possible signs of illness, please do not attend a CPR Works training for 24 hours after the last symptom (fever, consistent cough, lethargy, and runny noses). If a student shows up with symptoms, the instructor will politely ask you to reschedule for another time.
-Upon entering our training location please wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before you sign in and have a seat.
-Please use hand sanitizer before and after you practice on the manikins.
-Please practice good hygiene, wipe/blow nose in restroom, coughing in armpit, washing hands and etc.
Our instructors are prepared to follow the below recommendations.
-Decontaminate the manikins and bag mask after each student practices or test using an alcohol based solution per CDC recommendations.
-Face shields will not be used and mouth to mouth ventilation will not be given.
-Pocket mask with one way valves are available for those who wish to perform breaths, but will not be required.
-Mankins will be placed 3 feet apart when possible.
If you are concerned or hesitant about attending a class due to COVID-19 please consider the online option. Those classes are approved with an in person skills check session. We offer skill check-offs before all of our regular scheduled classes and you can find the dates/times on our website.
Thank you for your willingness to adhere to these changes.
