"Grief isn't something we can just stuff in a closet. The grief will still be there every time we walk past the closet door. It's not until we actively process and deal with it that the grief starts to diminish." - Kirsten Goard, Bereavement Counselor

Anticipatory Grief 101 is a one-time introductory support and education session designed to explore common symptoms of anticipatory grief - the grief individuals can experience before the death of a loved one - and provide encouragement and helpful coping strategies.

While this session is open to anyone in the community that may be experiencing anticipatory grief, caregivers may find this session especially beneficial. Anticipatory grief can be a common occurrence during the caregiving journey as a loved one’s independence decreases and care needs increase, which lead to needed life adjustments.

Friday, May 1 | 12 - 1 p.m.
