In May, we celebrated Older Americans Month the best way we know how…with good food, great people, and healthy habits✨🧓🏽💚

TCC Community Health Foundation in partnership with the Carl Chavis YMCA, hosted a special Seniors Thrive live cooking demo, featuring air-fried salmon, quinoa, steamed cabbage, and sautéed seasonal veggies. 👏🏽

Our “Not This, But That” segment showed how simple swaps can make a big difference and we DEFINITELY shared plenty of laughs, tips, and fellowship along the way.

We’re committed to helping our seniors thrive all year long: through movement, nutrition, and meaningful connection.

Did you catch us on WFMY News 2?!

Huge thanks to Lauren Coleman for spotlighting such a vital topic: .

We must continue raising awareness and, more importantly, pushing for real and change. This week is about more than conversation; it’s about Action🙌🏽

Join Us for Healthy Start Tuesdays!

Last week, I had the honor of presenting to Council about an initiative the and is hosting during the month of April in advocacy of National .

This year’s theme, “Advancing Commitments to Eliminate Health Disparities,” calls on all of us as leaders, organizations, and neighbors to move from awareness to ACTION.

Here in High Point, we’re answering that call through community-driven wellness efforts like Healthy Start Tuesdays, a weekly movement series rooted in the NAACP’s national Moving Matters campaign.

Each Tuesday during the month of April, join us at 6 PM for movement, connection, and FREE health screenings!

Bring the whole family; it’s truly a community affair rooted in health, unity, and action.
Let’s walk together toward a healthier, more equitable High Point.

All are welcome!

“A woman’s health is the foundation of her strength; when she THRIVES, families flourish, and communities RISE.”

Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and impact of women everywhere. When women prioritize their health and well-being, they empower not only themselves but also their families and communities.

Happy 🩷✨

Let’s continue to uplift, support, and inspire one another, because a healthy woman is a powerful force for CHANGE!
