Join us in celebrating Sarah Grace’s first anniversary with our company! She studied psychology and sociology at Walsh University before joining BBT as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) last October. Sarah Grace has always loved working with children and has expressed her desire to homeschool her own one day.

When reflecting on her motivation to stay in the field for a year, she credits the special moments she shares with her clients. Sarah Grace states, “My driving force to continue working in the field is the unique experiences I've been a part of in my clients' lives, as well as getting to know each client's distinct personality.” In her time at BBT, she has taken on new roles, experienced immense growth, and learned many valuable lessons. She notes, “The most important lesson I've learned at BBT is patience and allowing my clients to try new things and explore for themselves. Watching a client’s face light up when they discover how a new toy works or when they enter one of their favorite rooms at BBT is truly rewarding.”

Outside of work, Sarah Grace enjoys playing Pokémon, drawing, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. Although she has only been with us for a year, she has already made a significant impact on her clients and their families. She radiates a soft, gentle energy that her clients adore and shows true kindness in every interaction throughout the center. We are fortunate to have an RBT like her, and we celebrate this milestone together. Cheers to a year, Sarah!

Today we’re celebrating Emma’s first anniversary with BBT! She graduated from BGSU with a B.A. in Psychology and intentions of creating a positive impact on children, which is how she found BBT. When asked about her motivation to stay in the field thus far, Emma credits the development and progress of her clients. She explains, “My driving force here has been seeing how amazing these kiddos are and watching them grow in the time I’ve spent here. I have loved being able to celebrate the little wins.” Emma also notes that she feels privileged to share their achievements with them. She adds, “Sometimes we get so caught up in trying to reach the end goal that the little wins can go unnoticed. These kiddos are so smart and I have enjoyed being a part of all the little wins that come along their way. I feel like I am growing with them as they spend their time here at BBT and I am always so proud of how far they come.”

In her time with us, Emma has learned many valuable lessons but indicates pairing and engagement as the most significant. She says, “I have learned how important it is to truly pair and engage with each individual client. Each individual plays and learns in their unique way and it’s been amazing to see how they all grow. I’ve learned how important it is to be silly with the kids and have fun with them so that they can learn in a trusting and engaging space.”

Outside of BBT Emma loves spending time with friends and family, socializing at happy hours, reading, and watching true-crime television. Emma has been with us for just a short time but has made an immeasurable impact. Her grounding, friendly energy is valued among clients and staff alike. Her gentle persistence in pairing and taking time to get to know each child makes her a favorite among clients and an exceptional RBT. We’re so thankful to have an RBT like Emma and celebrate this milestone with her! Cheers to a year Emma!
