New wall decor alert 🚨‼️

One of our RBT’s, Kait has taken on the task of decorating our staff lounge area with new wellness activities/practices for her RBT-M project. This week, our staff lounge features a board in which our staff can grab a vase or a plant stand and write a positive affirmation that reminds them of their worth and growth ❤️💕🌹🌸🧠

Yesterday was a Friday we’ll never forget! 🤍✨🎉👗

As part of our RBT-M program here at Building Blocks, RBTs who have been with us for a year & meet certain criteria are eligible to kickstart their own project around the center. Lauren has been providing our kiddos and staff with super fun, interactive, and creative activities for our Friday afternoons. She calls it “Fun Friday!” This week’s Fun Friday was chalk! Our clients absolutely loved it and our staff had some fun as well 🤪

After our clients went home on Friday, our staff gathered together for a BBT Clothing Swap! Staff brought in clothes they were ready to part ways with & had the opportunity to get some new clothes for free! All clothes that were not “swapped” were donated. This was such a fun activity and an amazing way to spend our Friday afternoon before we broke for the weekend 🥰❤️

Last Friday afternoon, we hosted a party for our kiddos and families in celebration of Autism Acceptance Month! He had pizza, cake, goodie bags for our families, and a raffle!

We loved seeing so many smiling faces on our clients and their families. What an amazing way to celebrate Autism Acceptance Month ♾️💙

This past Tuesday, Kathryn and Julia traveled to their old stomping grounds: John Carroll University! They had the privilege of going into an undergraduate psychology class and talking about what ABA therapy is, the role of an RBT, and what makes Building Blocks an awesome place to work! ⚡️💙

Character Day was a success!!!! We had some silly visitors including the Lorax, Captain Underpants, and Brown Bear! We loved seeing all of our clients dressed like their favorite characters!
