Dr. Neel Vaidya just performed the first Epioxa treatment in the state, the only FDA approved epi-on corneal cross linking treatment.

This treatment helps strengthen the cornea to stop it from getting weaker over time, without removing the surface layer, so it’s easier on the eyes with a faster recovery ❤️‍🩹

Today, we remember and honor the life of Dr. Richard F. Dennis, a founding pillar of Chicago Cornea Consultants.

After establishing his practice in Chicago, Dr. Dennis partnered with Dr. Randy Epstein to grow it into what Chicago Cornea is today. His vision and leadership helped shape a practice grounded in excellence and a true commitment to patient care.

He was known not only for his clinical expertise, but for the way he taught, mentored, and influenced those around him.

His impact continues to be felt across our team and the patients we serve.

We are incredibly grateful for the foundation he helped build.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Riddhi Patel, OD to the team at Chicago Cornea Consultants!

Dr. Patel has a strong interest in ocular disease and a passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Saint Louis University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry, followed by a residency in ocular disease at the University of Chicago Medicine.

With extensive training in both ocular disease and primary care optometry, Dr. Patel is committed to thoughtful communication and exceptional patient care. She is fluent in English, conversational in Gujarati, and enjoys exploring Chicago and trying new restaurants in her free time.

We’re thrilled to have her as part of the Chicago Cornea team.
