Winter is a natural time to slow down. A season that invites you to check in with your body, mind, and heart, and give yourself the care you need. ❄️

As the days get shorter and life feels busier, gentle practices like mindful breathing, soft movement, rest, and quiet moments can help your nervous system stay balanced.

For many women of color, taking time for yourself may feel like a luxury, but it is a necessary part of healing and grounding. This winter, allow yourself to move through the season with calm, compassion, and steadiness.

If you want support navigating stress, exhaustion, or just learning how to slow down, We Rise Therapy & Wellness is here for you. 💌

Postpartum anxiety is often quiet, overlooked, or dismissed, especially for South Asian women navigating cultural expectations, identity shifts, and the weight of “being everything for everyone.” 🌿

Tomorrow, we’re creating space to slow down and speak honestly about what happens after the baby, when your inner world changes in ways no one prepared you for.

Join South Asian therapist Saarika Rao, LCSW () and our founder Neha Darji, MS, LPC for a grounded, honest conversation about postpartum anxiety and reconnecting with yourself after the baby. 🫶

Gratitude doesn’t have to be big or inspirational. It can be quiet, gentle, and imperfect, especially when life
gets overwhelming. 🌿

For many women of color, practicing gratitude isn’t about ignoring struggle. It’s about noticing the grounding moments that remind you that you’re still growing, healing, and here.

Today, try noticing one thing you’re grateful for, something soft, simple, or ordinary. Your healing doesn’t need to be loud to be real. 🌼

Sometimes affirmations aren’t about “thinking positive.” They’re about unlearning the messages that told you to shrink, stay quiet, or be strong no matter what.

These gentle reminders are for the women of color who are tired of pushing through and ready to honor themselves. 💕

Repeat the ones you need today or save them for later when you need a reminder of your worth.

At We Rise Therapy & Wellness, we support BIPOC women in healing old narratives and building self-worth that feels grounded, compassionate, and real.

Movember is a time to shine a light on men’s mental and emotional wellbeing. 💙

For many men, struggles with stress or overwhelm can show up quietly, often in ways that go unnoticed:

💭 Pushing through without asking for support
💭 Feeling pressure to stay strong for everyone else
💭 Keeping difficult emotions to themselves

We stand with the men who are managing anxiety, depression, family stress, cultural expectations, or the weight of being “the strong one.”

Your mental health matters. 🌿

People pleasing can feel like a silent weight, slowly stealing your sense of self. 🌿

For many women of color, the pressure to always be “kind,” “helpful,” or “agreeable” can be exhausting. It can show up as:
✨ Saying yes when you really mean no
✨ Neglecting your own needs
✨ Fear of rejection or disapproval
✨ Losing your identity
✨ Anxiety and stress

But here’s the truth: honoring your own boundaries isn’t selfish. It’s essential for your mental health and well-being. 💛

At We Rise Therapy & Wellness, we provide a safe, culturally attuned space to explore people pleasing patterns, set healthy boundaries, and reconnect with your authentic self. You don’t have to conform to others’ expectations to be worthy of love and acceptance. 🌸

You deserve to live authentically, with compassion for yourself and others. True connection comes from showing up as you. 🫶
