Hey! Sorry for posting this halfway through the month... the time has just been flying!
Some things to know about kids and dentistry-
1- It is best for kods to have their first dental visit by 1 year old, and then every 6 months! This helps kids be familiar with the setting and different people cleaning their teeth.
2- it is never too early to introduce oral hygiene routine at home! From the first teeth coming up, start brushing! Even with just a wet toothbrush!
3- never put a baby to sleep with a bottle of milk once they have teeth-- this can cause "baby bottle cavities"--> look it up on Google if you want to see pictures of that 😪
4- be familiar with dental recommendations for trauma to the teeth. Trauma to new teeth as children are getting their permanent teeth can be a true dental emergency. These events are incredibly time sensitive and need to be dealt with promptly-- literally every minute counts towards prognosis.

Yesterday I broke a tooth and contacted the office for emergency care - it was a Sunday. The response was quick, and Dr. David met me at the office.
