Erica, The Therapist Who Moves You, recently led a dance therapy session with seniors, and the entire class took place seated, proving that movement doesn’t always require standing.

She started with a gentle warm-up to get the body moving, focusing on stretches and motions that promote circulation, flexibility, and calm.

These exercises are perfect not only for seniors, but also for anyone who sits for long periods of time whether you work from home or simply want to incorporate a bit more movement into your day.

The goal of this initiative is to improve the quality of life for people living with dementia as well as their families and caregivers through education, awareness, and community support.

Together, we’re building a more understanding, compassionate, and inclusive Highland Park for everyone.

We had such a blast last week at the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce & Lake Forest/ Lake Bluff Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours Networking Event hosted at !

Dinx is an amazing space featuring pickleball courts, golf simulators, delicious food, and drinks. It was the perfect spot for both fun and networking. Thank you to the Chambers for bringing the community together and to Dinx for being such wonderful hosts!

During a recent shift, Caregiver Norma Woodruff arrived to find her client choking on a grape. Acting without hesitation, she performed the Heimlich maneuver and cleared the obstruction—saving her client’s life.

Thanks to her quick response and training, her client made a full recovery. That’s the difference great caregivers make every day. 💜
