North Shore Audiology Gives Back to Our Community

North Shore Audiology Consultants is proud to be a positive contributor to our community. We are always looking for ways to give back and this past week, we were able to do just that:

Ava is a teacher in the North Shore of Chicago. She has been committed to caring for and nurturing the development of young children. Unfortunately, significant hearing loss has impacted her daily life for many years. Her success depends on hearing even the smallest of sounds. We couldn’t think of a more deserving individual for top of the line hearing aids!

Dr. Kristie Trester helped transform Ava’s life several years ago and last week, in partnership with Widex, she had the opportunity to gift brand new Widex Moment Sheer™ hearing aids. We are so honored to help Ava improve her hearing and live a fuller life!

Ava says, "Having Widex hearing aids is such a blessing. I can hear better and perform in my job better. I can hear clearly as people talk and am able to distinguish where the sound is coming from. As a preschool teacher, it is important to me to hear young children, parents and co teachers in and out of the classroom. The hearing aid is so efficient that it gave back my confidence at work. The sound is so good. Also, I can adjust the mode/level of sound from my phone to minimize the peripheral or unnecessary sounds, making people’s voice more dominant. My daughter was also impressed with the way I can hear her better. She does not need to repeat words whenever I talk to her.

I look forward to having a special microphone which I can use when having group meetings or conferences.

Thank you to Widex and to my kind hearted audiologist, Kristie, for helping me to be a better teacher and mother by having the Widex hearing aid. It sure is a wonderful gift on my birthday. May Widex help more people like me to bring back their self-confidence."

North Shore Audiology Consultants Gives Back to Our Community

One of our priorities at North Shore Audiology Consultants is to be a positive contributor to our community and we are always looking for ways to give back. Last month, we were able to do just that. Judy Rosenblum, of Highland Park, has had a history of severe-to-profound hearing loss for over 30 years. She was in need of quality hearing aids, but was not able to prioritize them due to other health needs. Judy was seen in our office for an evaluation and was gifted brand new Widex Moment hearing aids. Widex Moment hearing aids provide a sound so natural that wearers are amazed from the very first moment. We are so happy to be able to help Judy improve her hearing, allowing her to engage with others and live a fuller life. "My husband and I have ongoing health issues, and the associated expenses add up. Receiving the gift of hearing aids was literally like a new lease on life. I finally got the break I so desperately needed.”, said Rosenblum.
