When I got home today, I mowed and had lots of thinking time. Reviewed my day that I just had! I so wish you could have heard the "girls" laughter...and seen their faces! They sounded like young girls again, just out having a good time! Made me weepy thinking back over it...this is what life is all about...making good memories... having good friends...enjoying life and each other.

Spend some time with those you love - good time - undistracted! Make your own memories!

🎶 “Girls just wanna have fun!” 🎶
And have fun we did! Another afternoon on the road…and another one for the memory books! We had Helen, Pat and Leola today! We keep having fun like this and I’m going to have to get a bigger van! I think Helen is hooked!

Of course we stopped at Sonic for our shakes and/or drinks.

From there we went north of Sabetha to see the Lane Trail Historical Marker, which told us about the route to get slavesto free country. It came up from Topeka, through Holton, Netawaka, Powhatan, Sabetha, Falls City, and on up to Nebraska City.

We went a little further north and truly took the back roads into Sycamore Springs! And you can see from my pictures I truly mean “back roads!” My GPS had me turn south on a gravel road that looked a little sketchy…but we went on…then turned east…onto a dirt road that eventually turned into about a path…finally came to a road, went north and we were right by Sycamore Springs! Literally laughed til the tears ran down our cheeks…and legs!🤭😳😂. Drove through Robinson on the way home!

Needless to say, we truly had a great time!

“On the road again!!!” Leola, Helen, Mary, Pat and I had a girls afternoon out! Got Sonic shakes and took a drive to Horton, seeing Mission Lake and downtown Horton! Such a delightful day!

Took two of my favorite peeps to a reenactment of Dr. Charles & Sara Robinson at the Robinson Bird Cage Theater this afternoon. It was on "Bleeding Kansas" and was chock full of history, which we LOVE!

Two Timbers' Party Bus was on the road again! Leola, Pat, Ray, Pam and Dee (Designated Driver 😁), went from Sparks, up through White Cloud, along the River Road into Rulo - saw some sites in Rulo! From there went in to Falls City, NE - drove around the "Governor's Mansion" which is where I used to live before I got married, and saw some nice sites in Falls City. Then we stopped at Frosty Queen and got some good ice cream shakes before heading home! Everyone delivered safe and sound! (sorry...forgot to take pics again!)
