💜 Did you know?
Hospice care does not stay in the home 24/7.

Hospice nurses and staff visit on a scheduled basis and are on-call for medical needs, but families are often left to manage care in between visits.

That’s where Care in Motion can help.

We provide non-medical hospice support services, offering:
✔ Companionship
✔ Personal care assistance
✔ Comfort and supervision
✔ Respite for family caregivers

All medical care remains under the direction of the licensed hospice agency.

⏱️ This 30-second read can make you a lot of money.

If you are already a caregiver in the Structured Family Care Program, you know the routine: you provide the care, and you receive a daily stipend. But are you getting the most out of it?

👻 Is your current agency "ghosting" you? If you're feeling ignored by a big, out-of-state corporation, you’re missing out on the hands-on support that ensures your stipend is secure and your paperwork is perfect.

Care In Motion is different. We are locally owned and operated right here in Indiana. We’re more hands-on than a toddler with play-dough, and we make sure our families are supported every single day.

💰 The Money Talk:
Because the SFC stipend is often tax-free, every dollar goes further for your family. At Care In Motion, we help you navigate the tiers of care to ensure you are receiving the correct daily rate for the work you are already doing.

🔄 The best part? Switching is easy to do.
You don't have to stay in a "distant" relationship with a corporate agency. We handle the transition for you so there’s no gap in your daily stipends.
Stop being a number. Start being a partner.

🏠 Is your home a "No-Fall Zone"?

Falls are the leading cause of injury for seniors, but many are preventable with a few simple changes! Here’s a quick weekend checklist to keep your loved ones safe:

Clear the Path: Remove throw rugs or use double-sided tape to secure them.

Light it Up: Add nightlights in hallways, bathrooms, and kitchens.
Clear the Clutter: Keep stairs and walkways free of books, shoes, and cords.

Add Support: Install grab bars in the shower and next to the toilet.

At Care In Motion, LLC, our caregivers perform home safety assessments to ensure a secure environment for every client.
Peace of mind starts at home. 💙

Priority #1: Required Training for Firefighters and EMTs

People living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia have distinct needs that can make communication and care challenging; particularly in emergency situations. When first responders are not equipped to recognize the signs of dementia or use appropriate communication techniques, encounters can escalate quickly and put everyone at risk. Education and training on dementia, along with effective de‑escalation strategies, can improve outcomes and ensure the safety of both individuals with dementia and the first responders who serve them. Although the Indiana General Assembly mandated Alzheimer’s and dementia training for law enforcement officers in 2013, similar requirements do not yet extend to firefighters or emergency medical personnel. Alzheimer's and Dementia Training for Firefighters & EMS, authored by Representative Hunter Smith (R‑Westfield), would close this gap by requiring one hour of dementia training for all first responders. By equipping every responder with the skills to navigate these situations compassionately and safely, Indiana can take a vital step toward protecting Hoosiers living with Alzheimer's or another dementia.
