The #1 question patients ask about wisdom teeth is: "Do I really need to get them removed?" Wisdom teeth are usually only removed if they cause problems or are likely to cause problems in the future. There are no scientifically proven health benefits of removing wisdom teeth that don't cause problems. However, if you don't have enough room in your mouth for wisdom teeth, or they're painful, infected, or cause other dental problems, they may need to be removed. You may also still need to have them removed, even if they aren't causing any pain. The only way to know for sure is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Pulver at Pulver Oral Surgery: 219-934-0402

If you’ve been diagnosed with osteoporosis and are considering All-on-4® implants to replace missing teeth, you may be wondering whether your bone health rules you out as a candidate. The good news is that many patients with osteoporosis can still be excellent candidates for All-on-4® implants, thanks to their innovative design.

Because All-on-4® implants are strategically placed in areas of stronger bone, they can provide a stable and lasting foundation even when bone density is reduced. With advanced imaging, careful planning, and an experienced surgical team, osseointegration (the process by which the implant fuses with bone) can still be achieved successfully in many patients with mild to moderate osteoporosis. Schedule an appointment to see if you're a candidate: 219-934-0402

What makes oral and maxillofacial surgeons true specialists in the dental field? We must complete a rigorous education and training program that includes dental school, residency, and board certification. Our multi-year hospital-based residencies often take place alongside other surgical specialists. This experience provides exposure to a wide range of cases, from trauma to reconstructive surgery, and fosters interdisciplinary collaboration to deliver optimal patient care. If you need oral surgery, trust the experts. Call to schedule an appointment: 219-934-0402
