Many thanks to The Rotary Club of Highlands for inviting our colleague Lori Smith, Regional Manager of Imaging Services, to speak to their group earlier this month. Lori shared the exciting news of the recent arrival of our new MRI and CT scanner, as well as a few upcoming cardiac imaging capabilities such as cardiac calcium scoring.

Sharing the latest news from Highlands-Cashiers Hospital, Lori announced the arrival of a new MRI and 128 slice CT Scanner to their facility. This skilled, digital imaging platform offers reduced scan times, better image quality, and metal reduction software for better visualization of surrounding tissues and is now available to patients of Highlands-Cashiers Hospital. The new equipment also allows for the addition of cardiac capabilities, such as cardiac calcium scoring, coming soon to the hospital.
