We want to extend our sincere thanks to Senator Rick Billinger and Representative Ken Rahjes for their leadership and support in helping move PBM reform forward in Kansas. This legislation is an important step toward protecting independent pharmacies, improving transparency, and ensuring patients continue to have access to local care. A special thank you to Representative Rahjes for standing up and speaking on behalf of this bill — your advocacy and willingness to champion this issue made a meaningful difference. We truly appreciate both of you for your service and commitment to our communities.

Today, PBM reform overwhelmingly passed the Kansas Legislature with strong bipartisan support in both chambers. This legislation will lower drug costs for Kansans and protect patient access to local pharmacies by reining in abuses by PBM middlemen. The bill now heads to Governor Laura Kelly’s desk for signature.

Thank you to all the pharmacists, technicians, students, community members, and legislators who stood up and made their voices heard. You made the difference!

Duties include but are not limited to:
Assisting the Pharmacist
Greeting and checking out customers
Filling prescriptions
Calling doctors offices
Daily clerical work
Putting away incoming stock

Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment screening. A friendly attitude is a must and the ability to work in a team environment. Technician certification is a plus! Must be proficient in computer skills.

✅SB 360 passed the Senate today!🎉

Thank you to Senator Rick Billinger for supporting the bill and standing up for patients and community pharmacies. 💪

✔️PBM Reform has passed out of the Kansas Senate!

We are so grateful for the immense amount of work that has been put into this bill so far - from pharmacies closing to advocate for their patients to patients advocating for their pharmacy, this has been an incredible lift.

Tomorrow, we will urge folks to thank the senators that supported us and we will start our work on the House side - but for now, we hope everyone has the chance to take a breath tonight as the fight has just begun!

📢 We will be closed for the day on Wednesday, February 4th so our staff can head to Topeka to stand up for our pharmacy and our patients! We’ll tell lawmakers to make sure people can get their medicine, stop pharmacies from closing, and fix unfair PBM rules.
💊 What’s Happening?
Big companies called PBMs decide how we get medicine to you. They make it hard for small
pharmacies to stay open by paying us less than what we pay for the medicine. They also take
back money with tricky rules.
If nothing changes this year, a “closure” like ours could be forever. Pharmacies that stay open can’t safely take care of all the extra prescriptions from other pharmacies closing. Mail-order services also take too long or don’t keep medicine safe, which could hurt patients.
