Bridget works PRN in the GCH Radiology Department, and her presence is like a breath of fresh air — steady, skilled, and always uplifting, especially when it’s needed most. Even though she’s not always on-site, she’s a valued team member whose positive energy never goes unnoticed. Originally from Axtell, Kansas, Bridget studied Radiology at Washburn University — the second-best Rad Tech program in the state. 😉

Outside of GCH, Bridget works full-time as an Echo Ultrasound Tech at Hays Med. Her ability to balance a full-time career, family life, and her PRN role is nothing short of inspiring. She’s a true team player, always willing to jump in and help wherever she can!

Bridget loves to craft — especially when preparing for events like the Sugar Plum Market, where her creativity truly shines. Her handmade creations reflect the same care and heart she brings to everything she does. She finds joy in spending time with her family, and her kids’ laughter instantly brightens her day. With the recent arrival of baby Palmer Rose 💕 Bridget is soaking up every second of mom life while still embracing the little moments that make life beautiful.

🌟 Meet Rachael 🌟

Rachael is a skilled and devoted Radiologic Technologist who brings heart, positivity, and a sprinkle of overthinking to her work every day. She’s always looking for ways to improve—both personally and within the department—and cares deeply about her coworkers. Originally from Damar, Kansas, Rachael graduated from Palco High School and earned her Radiology degree from Fort Hays State University, proudly repping one of the best Rad Tech programs around! 😏

Though often seen as outgoing, Rachael is an introvert at heart. She loves connecting with people but also values quiet time to recharge. Whether she’s spending time with family on the farm or escaping to the mountains, nature helps her reset. She enjoys the simple things: a hot bubble bath, the occasional spa day, and floating in the pool, soaking up the sun.

Rachael is deeply rooted in her Catholic faith. One of her favorite quotes, “Know God, Know Peace. No God, No Peace,” reminds her that even in the struggle, peace is possible when she leans into Him.

🌟 Meet Valerie 🌟

Valerie works as a PRN in the GCH Radiology Department, bringing her signature calm to the chaos. She never loses her cool and always shows up with a smile — and a salad! (We’re still waiting for the day she surprises us with a donut. 😉)

A health enthusiast through and through, Valerie enjoys working out, cooking, reading, camping, lake days in the summer, and spending time with her family. Originally from Beaver City, NE, she studied Radiology at Mary Lanning in Hastings, NE.

Outside of her PRN role, Valerie stays busy running an adoption consulting company and raising a family. Her passion for adoption runs deep—after navigating three of her own adoption journeys and supporting countless others, she’s gained a wealth of insight and is making a meaningful impact in the lives of families. We are so proud of her for living out her purpose, even if that means we get to see her a little less.

🌟 Meet Debra 🌟

Debra is the newest gem in our Radiology Department, bringing over 40 years of experience and a heart full of compassion and wisdom. Her warm presence and steady positivity uplift everyone around her. She believes adaptability is essential in radiology and embraces change with grace. Her favorite quote, “Joy cometh in the morning” (Psalm 30:5), beautifully reflects her hopeful and resilient spirit.

A Hill City native, Debra studied Radiology at Fort Hays State University. After moving away in 2000, she’s now returned home—and we couldn’t be happier to have her back! We’re grateful for the knowledge, kindness, and positivity she brings to our team.

When she’s not working, Debra enjoys gardening, crafts, painting, stained glass, reading, and ancestry research. She’s passionate about staying informed on politics and world events, growing in her faith through prayer and reflection, and continuously learning new skills.

🌟 Meet Hannah 🌟

Hannah brings a unique blend of creativity and precision to everything she does. She’s constantly looking for ways to elevate both the department and hospital, and her commitment is reflected in the meaningful impact she makes every single day. As head of the Employee Committee, she’s always in motion—organizing events, brainstorming new initiatives, and keeping things running smoothly.

A true music enthusiast, Hannah can name almost any classic rock song on the spot, and her vinyl collection is nothing short of impressive. It’s no surprise that her favorite quote comes from The Beatles: “And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.” It’s a perfect reflection of how she lives—pouring love, energy, and creativity into everything she does, and in turn, making Graham County Hospital a better place for everyone. We are incredibly lucky to have her!

She grew up all across Kansas, spending most of her childhood in Hays before moving to Hill City during her senior year of high school. Hannah went on to study Radiology at Washburn University, proudly representing the Ichabods! Outside of work, you’ll find her thrift shopping with her mom or working on craft projects.
