During the winter months, residents expressed an interest in creating something special for the wildlife outside. This led to a two-part, hands-on activity focused on caring for our local birds. 🐦 😊

First, residents created strings of popcorn and cranberries, which were placed on the trees for birds to enjoy. Next, they made birdseed pine cones, and we placed them in the bushes around the campus. 🐦

This activity encouraged creativity and a meaningful connection to nature while bringing joy to both residents and wildlife alike.

Thank you to Northwest Bible Church for hosting a candlelit Christmas Eve service. 🕯️Our residents had a wonderful evening with their loved ones and friends, worshiping together and reminiscing about attending church on Christmas Eve.⛪️ It was a truly meaningful night that many will remember. Building Joy, One Brick at a Time 🧱

Our campus enjoyed a unique and engaging Happy Hour event featuring a LEGO Exhibit made possible through the collaboration of staff, the Life Enrichment team, and the Culinary team. This creative event brought together imagination, teamwork, and connection for residents to enjoy.

The idea for the LEGO Exhibit came from a shared effort to offer something fun and interactive. Staff members brought in their own well-loved and thoughtfully assembled LEGO collections, creating an impressive display of colorful structures and designs. Residents took time to explore each piece, admiring the details while sharing stories and sparking conversations inspired by the exhibit.

Adding to the experience, the Culinary team contributed a special LEGO-themed treat: a pepperoni pizza designed to resemble LEGO bricks. The playful presentation was a hit with residents and perfectly complemented the theme of the event, making Happy Hour both visually fun and delicious! 🍕

The collaboration between staff, Life Enrichment, and Culinary teams highlighted the power of teamwork in creating meaningful experiences. Residents expressed enjoyment not only in viewing the exhibit but also in the social atmosphere it created. 🧱 😊

Overall, the LEGO Exhibit was a great success. It brought smiles, encouraged interaction, and strengthened our sense of community. Through creativity and collaboration, we were able to build joy one brick at a time.

🎄💖 A huge thank you to Delia Knepple and Scotts Miracle Gro for adopting our Legacy residents this Christmas! Because of your kindness, our residents had so much joy opening presents and sharing a special afternoon with their families.

We enjoyed a Christmas movie, hot cocoa, popcorn, and cookies — all while everyone was dressed in matching pajamas for our Family Pajama & Movie Day.
