Most people go way too heavy their first time — that’s why their shoulders, low back, and feet start barking.
But let’s be real…
Most Karens and Chads are actually going too light and wondering why they don’t feel anything.
There’s a sweet spot — and it actually matters.

If you’re new, go light-to-moderate.
If you’re a veteran of this event, shoot for 25% of your bodyweight on the 1/2-mile ruck loop.
Durability > ego. Always.

Rucking should feel strong, steady, and sustainable — not heroic, not painful.

RUCK Michigan Week — starting with the basics.

A lot of people tweak shoulders or low backs before the ruck even starts because they throw the pack on the wrong way.
Here’s how to do it safely and repeatably:

• Load the pack on a bench or tailgate
• Slide one arm in, keep the ribs down
• Hinge, brace, and pull it on with control
• Reverse the process to take it off without twisting

Simple. Clean. Durable.

Two weeks out from Ruck Michigan and Stasi is out at Darby Creek putting in the work — hills, load, intention.
This is what our community does: we show up, we move, and we do it with purpose.

On November 29th we’re taking it to Quarry Trails for our 10th community ruck, supporting Columbus Humane.
Walk, jog, or ruck — all levels welcome. Solid opportunity to get some hill work in if you’re prepping for something soon 👍

Been putting some miles on the new Specialized Crux, and it’s a whole different ride — lighter, quicker, and smooth on the rough stuff. My last bike was solid, but this one just disappears underneath you. Not about having the fanciest setup, just finding the one that makes you want to keep going.

Her prep? Back-to-back long runs, rucking, and hill repeats — all layered with the same E~Lab strength and mindset we build every week.
