The Illinois government shut down the massage industry in April of 2020.
After a month of no work i decided to get a job driving with FedEx.
I got serious training and became a package truck driver.
The reason I didn’t quit after the tyrants snapped their fingers in July, was fear.
I didn’t want to put all my eggs back into one basket just in case the psychopath power mongers had plans for a repeat.
So once the rulers snapped their fingers in July I drove 5 days a week and saw bodywork clients on my 2 days off.
The catch was, I WOULD ONLY SEE CLIENTS WHO DIDNT MIND I WOULD NOT BE WEARING A MASK.
This was July 2020 in Chicago. I was a total outcast, both in my office space and among my client community.
Most of my formerly dear clients opted to go to a more compliant practitioner.
With a touch of pride I say, I was anti-mask before it was cool 😎 and I know many of you were too.
Frankly, I was growing weary of this industry full of practitioners who profess to be “alternative” and clients who profess to want “alternative”. In actuality, everyone seemed to be pretty grounded in the establishment, allopathic, pharma, TV cult.
That niche industry was dead to me... or maybe it simply never existed.
Once Old Chicago officially died to us, we moved to Columbus to be closer to family.
I parlayed my FedEx experience into an unbelievably intense job as a UPS driver.
At 50, sometimes 60 hours a week, this job leaves no soul energy for anything else.
I am a family man.
This job doesn’t allow for that.
Part of being a family man is building a successful business.
This job doesn’t allow for that.
On Friday, after 11 hours of driving and in my 9th month, I resigned.
Saturday was my final day driving.
This video perfectly demonstrates the type of UPS driver I was and the type of person I strive to be.
This is about as rebellious as it gets at UPS. If you’re not hustling, you’re fired.
Sometimes it’s hard to hustle when surrounded by such beauty.
I am curious, inquisitive, full of questions, and in love with unraveling the mysteries of our life here.
I write this from my Columbus/Hilliard based bodywork treatment room inside of my super secret, rebel, luxurious, mask/compulsion free bodywork cave, where I have the pleasure of building my business... where I will be focusing all of that previously dissipated rebellious UPS energy.
Things are likely going to get weird out there again, coming soon.
I am putting the family man, business building, anarchist, healing guide, pedal to the metal.
Our community will be our strength in the coming months.
