Meet Mr. Bousfield, a former teacher at West Nassau High School who taught for 11 years. 👨‍🏫

On March 5, one of his former students made a Facebook post encouraging people to visit Mr. Bousfield. Within just 4 hours, the post had been shared 164 times. ➡️

Not long after, a former student walked into our Activities department looking for his old teacher. Zachary Pinkstaff was a student in Mr. Bousfield’s European History class during the 2014–2015 school year. He had no idea that the teacher he admired so much was living just a few miles away. The reunion was filled with funny stories, shared memories, and plenty of laughter. 😂 Even our activity staff were moved to tears watching the moment unfold. 🥹 It was a beautiful reminder of the lasting impact a great teacher can have—and the powerful way social media can reconnect people years later. ❤️💛

🤝 We were recently honored to host a town hall meeting with Deputy Secretary of Health Quality Assurance, Kim Smoak, and Dr. Antraneise Jackson, Director of the Rural Health Transformation Program, to discuss the program with members of our wider community.

🩺 The Rural Health Transformation Program is a statewide initiative led by American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA) to strengthen healthcare delivery in Florida’s rural communities. Through innovative care models, technology integration, and workforce investment, the program aims to ensure all Floridians, regardless of location, have access to high-quality, sustainable healthcare.

As a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility serving seniors in rural Florida, this program is of great interest to us. We are proud to support our greater community here in Nassau County. 🌴

⭐ Blackout Bingo was a huge success this month, with the final game having 4 winners! They battled it out in an epic tie-breaker. It was a nail-biter coming down to three numbers, and you could hear a pin drop. In the end, Ms. Kathy was our champion! 🏆
