Drip painting was a huge success! 🎨 Our residents let their creativity flow, and the results were absolutely breathtaking. It was a fun, expressive day filled with color and creativity. 🤩

Saturday was truly unforgettable. ❤️

🤩 Our residents on Hickory came ready to impress, and they loved every moment of getting their hair and makeup done and dressing up in beautiful gowns and suits. It was an incredible day for everyone involved. 👗👔

🫶 A heartfelt thank you to them West Nassau High School Key Club for organizing these proms — your compassion and dedication to our residents is truly inspiring. We are also so grateful to our community for the generous donations, and to our staff and families who surrounded our residents with love and support throughout the day.

🌸 April so far has been an exciting, creative, and memorable month for our Activities Department! 🌟

We’ve been so busy bringing fun to our residents that we’re just now getting the chance to share it all. 😄 So far, we’ve created paper mache Easter baskets, hosted a community egg hunt 🐣, made light-up planets 🪐, explored drip art 🖌️, and — most exciting of all — hosted 2 separate parties in one day! 😜

Activities has truly been thriving this month, and we’re just getting started. Stay tuned for upcoming videos 📹 showcasing all the amazing moments happening at Life Care Center of Hilliard! ✨

Did you know that about 1.1 million people in the United States are living with Parkinson's disease (PD)? 🌷

🧠 This progressive brain disorder is perhaps most well known for causing tremors, but other symptoms include loss of vocal volume, sleep disruptions, stiffness, and balance issues, among others.

Thankfully, there are ways to improve Parkinson's symptoms! 😀 Our therapy team offers rehabilitation services to help improve mobility, range of motion, function, and speech for those living with PD. Call us to see how we can support you or your loved one.

What does Occupational Therapy look like❓

It looks like someone practicing how to button a shirt again. 👔 Rebuilding the strength and dexterity to hold a coffee cup. ☕ Rehearsing the motions to prepare a simple meal and learning to use a reacher to safely pick things up without bending 🫳.

During Occupational Therapy Month, we’re celebrating the amazing therapists who help our rehab patients rebuild confidence, independence, and the skills that make daily life meaningful. 🫶
