Creativity was blooming during our craft time as residents made pressed flower resin coasters. Along the way they learned how to safely mix resin and how the curing process works. Each coaster came out beautifully unique—an activity we can’t wait to repeat! 🌸

Residents in our Music Makers group love coming together to sing classic favorites. In this photo, they’re performing “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning” made famous by Gordon MacRae. Throughout the year, the group also enjoys sharing Americana songs around Veterans Day and festive Christmas music in December, bringing joy and music to our community. 🎶

Residents enjoyed a beautiful Valentine’s Day celebration filled with elegance and romance ❤️ They were treated to a delicious steak dinner while harpist Leigh Brown provided lovely live music. Each lady received a rose, and couples shared a special evening together. We also created a festive photo backdrop, adding to the warm and celebratory ambiance of the night. 🌹✨

From watercolor to cards to culture — it’s been a full and fun week at MorningStar! 🎨🃏🌍

Residents enjoyed a Valentine-themed watercolor class with local artist Alexys Henry, creating sweet paintings of two penguins sharing a little love. Later, the Multipurpose Room was buzzing with laughter during our lively Shanghai Rummy night, a Tuesday favorite packed with friendly competition. And for MSU, resident Hella stepped into the role of instructor, sharing her native German and doing a wonderful job teaching the language she grew up speaking.
