-Tuesday, September 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lipe's Lunchbox food truck will be set up in the Hillsboro Health Fitness & Aquatics parking lot for purchase -- CASH ONLY
-Friday, September 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Fizzy Flamingo soda cart will be set up in the Douglas-Telfer parking lot for purchase -- cash, card or cash app accepted

After more than 20 years of serving seniors in our community, Hillsboro Health Assisted Living (Tremont Ridge) is entering a new chapter. The facility will transition ownership to KindCare Management out of Dallas, Texas, a family-owned company with deep experience in assisted living and memory care. The current team of employees will remain, and residents and families will continue to see the same trusted faces providing compassionate care every day. We’re proud of the decades of service we’ve provided and excited for the future of Tremont Ridge. This transition affects only the assisted living facility and does not impact any other Hillsboro Health services.

Just hopping on to brag on our Jr. Board group! These kids really do show up for our community and for Hillsboro Health. A big thank you to their parents and families for also making this happen. Last week, they helped in both the Old Settlers Kiddie Parade and big parade. And at tonight’s Jr. Board meeting, Pam Dawson treated them to an ice cream bar as a thank you for their work with the Summer Lunch Program. She expressed her appreciation with these young leaders and how they partner with people of all ages to do good in our community. We also did the ‘Community Challenge’ where each group came up with a skit or way to solve some of our communities challenges, such as littering, overcrowding in animal shelters, graffiti and safe bicycling. They showed how smart and HILARIOUS they can be when working through problems to come up with solutions. These amazingly creative kids then created absolutely beautiful signs to support fellow Jr. Board member Isabel McLauglin during their lemonade stand at her fundraiser this weekend at the sports complex. I am telling you…these kids are incredible. Kind, smart, funny and ready to make the world a wonderful place.

✅ We are excited to report the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board officially approved Hillsboro Health’s Certificate of Need application for a construction project at its main hospital campus. This critical infrastructure upgrade is designed to modernize facilities, expand outpatient surgery services and ensure continued access to high-quality health care for the Hillsboro community and surrounding areas. Construction is expected to begin in early 2026 with completion targeted for late 2027.
