Do you know the difference between a tornado watch and a tornado warning? We know that severe weather can be cool to watch, but please get off your front porch and take the weather seriously.

Think about it like a burger⤵
🍔 WATCH: We have all of the ingredients to make burgers. If you don't want a burger, think ahead about how you plan to avoid burgers.

🍔 WARNING: We are going to eat burgers RIGHT NOW. Like, NOW. Even if you didn't make burgers, maybe a neighbor did. Either way, burgers are in your area.

Tornadoes are the same way. We either have the ingredients (which can be dangerous enough on their own), or we've got a suspected tornado in or around the area.

Tuberculosis (TB) is still a serious public health concern, but together we can stop it.

Know the signs & symptoms:
Persistent cough, chest pain, coughing up blood, fatigue, fever, night sweats, and unexplained weight loss.

Prevention starts with you:
✔️ See your doctor if you have symptoms
✔️ Get tested
✔️ Chest X-ray if TB is suspected

⚠️ Higher risk groups include:
• Healthcare workers
• Department of Corrections staff
• Long-term care workers/residents
• Individuals with recent international travel
• Immunosuppressed individuals
• People with diabetes or HIV
• Unsheltered populations
• Migrant workers
• Foreign-born individuals
• Those with substance use disorders

Early detection saves lives. Skin or blood testing is available at both offices, call to schedule an appointment!

Before you turn those vintage windows into your next DIY masterpiece, pause for safety!

Older windows (especially pre-1978) may contain lead-based paint and sanding or scraping can release harmful dust. Lead exposure can be especially dangerous for children and pregnant women.

🔎 DIY Safety Tips:
• Assume paint may contain lead if the home was built before 1978
• Avoid dry sanding, scraping, or using a heat gun
• Test paint with a certified lead test kit
• Wear gloves, eye protection, and a NIOSH-approved respirator
• Work outdoors or in a well-ventilated area
• Clean up with wet wipes or a HEPA vacuum — never dry sweep
• Wash hands and clothes immediately after working
