ENFOQUE IXCÁN MISSION TRIP #51

I’m preparing for another mission trip to Ixcán, Guatemala. After 28 years delivering eye care to the people there, the need is still great: the poverty rate is still high and the access to eye care is still limited. Since Enfoque Ixcán has been serving these people, their lives have improved, but they continue to lack many of the basic needs for a comfortable life. They continue to struggle with needed health care, education and social services.
Through the contributions and support of donors like you, Enfoque Ixcán has funded 972 cataract surgeries and dispensed over 11,000 pairs of glasses. That’s a good start, but I estimate there are at least 75,000 people yet to help.
So, here I am, preparing for another trip with supplies for our eye health promoters at our clinic.
