It’ll be hot the next few days! Please take precaution in how to stay cool in the meantime.

We are encouraging people to take steps to avoid heat-related illnesses such as heat stroke and heat exhaustion as advisories predicting triple-digit temperatures go into effect this week.

Heat waves can seriously harm older people, those who live or work outdoors, have low incomes, are pregnant, are infants or children, or who have a chronic medical condition.

Check in regularly with family, friends and neighbors who are vulnerable to heat, especially if they live alone, older or don't have AC.

To find a cooling center, call 2-1-1 or visit 211info.org and search for "extreme heat cooling centers" to find a cooling center near you.

We participated in National Health Center Week Fair last week at Virginia Garcia’s Cornelius location!

This was a great turnout and opportunity for us to be present in our community, to provide resources for our services and provide school supplies ahead of the school year.📚✏️📓

It was nice to see some familiar faces come up to our booths, play some games, and win some cool prizes! Bubbles were the crowd favorite. 🫧

Special thanks to all those who donated school supplies and participated in our success both here on site and at the event!

"In response to growing safety concerns in our community related to recent immigration enforcement activity, the Beaverton Resource Center has made the difficult decision to cancel our in-person Family Resource Fair, originally scheduled for Friday, August 15th.

The safety, trust, and well-being of our families -especially those feeling vulnerable at this time -are our top priorities.

But the spirit of the event lives on! We are shifting to a virtual celebration and resource campaign that will continue to highlight local services, community partners, and back-to-school support for students and families.

Summer EBT, a nutrition program for kids, is back in 2025!

Each summer, eligible families will receive $120 per eligible child to buy groceries.

Key details:
-Applications are due by September 3, 2025. You can apply online or via mail.

-School-aged children: 6 to 18 years old

-Automatic assistance if your child has received SNAP or TANF during 2024-25 school year.

Did you know we teamed up with Arrow Dental to provide basic, routine dental services for our patients? We want to provide more access to oral care for our community and help families navigate the first steps in finding a dentist.

If your child has yet to establish care with dental, seeking dental coordination or just in need of cleaning services, please contact our office for more information! An in-clinic referral is needed before scheduling.

Currently, our onsite dental hygienist is only available on Wednesdays at Main Street. 🦷🪥
